Te Kuiti, New Zealand
"Come people of God. We are called to unite, to reach out in love, to act and transform in Christ."
St George's Parish has been a beacon of Catholic faith in Te Kuiti for over a century, serving the spiritual needs of our community with devotion and love.
Established in 1915 when it separated from Te Awamutu, our parish was initially served by the dedicated Mill Hill Fathers. Throughout our rich history, we have remained steadfast in our commitment to worship, service, and community building.
Today, our parish continues to flourish as a welcoming spiritual home where parishioners gather to celebrate the Eucharist, grow in faith, and reach out to those in need through various ministries and outreach programs.

Guided by faith, we serve Christ through unity, love, and transformation
We gather as one body to celebrate the sacred mysteries of our faith, honouring God through the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass and the sacraments.
United in Christ, we reach out in love to our fellow parishioners, visiting the sick at Hillview Rest Home and supporting those in need through our foodbank ministry.
Called to transform in Christ, we actively serve our community through various ministries, strengthening our bonds with St Joseph's School and local outreach programs.
Our beautiful church features stunning stained glass windows, thoughtfully organized by the late Fr Eamon Kennedy, which illuminate our sacred space with divine light and color.
The historic connection between our parish and St Joseph's School remains strong. Classes were initially held in our church, and the school basement continues to serve as our parish hall—a testament to the enduring bond between faith and education in our community.
